The Job Overview As a Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing, you are responsible to oversee, supervise and direct all Sales & Marketing team in all properties within MGM's brands and it's affiliated hotels to achieve specified objectives. Your key Responsibilities will be as follow: Achieves corporate Sales & Marketing goals by supervising all Corporate Sales & Marketing Team Implements strategies to improve market penetration for all hotels Maximizes sales productivity, monitors call productivity and revenue goals for each hotel by tracking results Improves productivity by counseling to hotel's team on appropriate selling techniques Increases sales volume and profitability by formulating and executing projects for all market areas as stated in the business plan Analyses sales statistics to formulate profitability, reviews market analysis to determine client needs, occupancy potential, desired rates, etc. Making sure that all hotels are meet overall budgeted sales and profit margins by soliciting, evaluating, selling, and confirming business for all hotels Coordinates transient and group room commitments to insure proper market mix Ensures maximum occupancy of the hotels on a daily basis by performing follow-ups on progress of groups booked with the hotels and your team Participates in solving problems with the hotel as required, relating to their business performance Prepares reports as necessary to develop a more informative database for improved management decision making and critical evaluation of work activities Prepares corporate guidelines of the business plan for the hotel Consolidate plans for and implements methods of maintaining and increasing volume of business thorough sales promotion, potential markets needing coverage, advertising and special sales projects for all hotels Provides feedback to Board of Director and the hotels on changing market conditions and trends in competition Creates and implements special group program to increase overall occupancy especially in slow periods Directs all sales activities for all hotels with sales opportunities to ensure that objectives are achieved in the Sales business plan Coordinate and attends major travel functions and trade shows to promote all hotels Creates awareness of all MGM's brand wherever possible, and passes leads to relevant hotels and/or regions Prepares and controls the Corporate Sales & Marketing Department’s budget Maintains accurate sales statistics and account records, assists in the completion of hotel's reports To be successful to apply for this position, you must: Have 4 years and above hands on Sales & Marketing experience A strong command of both written and spoken English is required. Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Hotel Management, Tourism or economics studies is a plus. Knowledgeable about hotel technology: PMS, OTA, Channel Manager, Extranets, Global Distribution etc.
